Rules Engine

We're excited to introduce the new Muddy Boots Rules Engine, giving you more ways to automate actions within MBO and reduce the manual work that happens after an activity is recorded.
The Rules Engine builds on our existing Activity Rules and Work Order Rules while adding more flexibility, more control, and new automation options.
With Rules Engine, you can automate actions such as:
- Automatically accepting activities based on recorded values
- Assigning Work Orders to users or user groups
- Scheduling one-off tasks based on recorded activities
- Generating custom alerts
- Notifying SIMOPS users when new activities are recorded
- Controlling when Work Orders are automatically created
- Generating schedule optimization alerts
- And more
- You can also use scopes and conditions to control exactly when and where a rule runs, whether that's across your organization, for a specific field, or at a specific site.
Existing Activity Rules and Work Order Rules will automatically be converted to the new Rules Engine format, so no conversion work is required from your organization.
